Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and i the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Too Gracious

I am so thankful for my friends! I love our group of tight knit people with all kinds of personalities, opinions, and knowledge! I am grateful for all of my friends and I think it is so great that when we get together we talk about God and Godly things. Some people find this to be a strange thing and possibly think that we are strange but non the less I love it. Even though all of us would probably agree that bringing up Calvinism at every gathering is a bit much but I still am thankful for that even! When we are confronted with different belief systems or different theology we are challenged to understand why we believe what we do. Iron sharpens iron and we do this at almost every gathering. I am thankful that everyone has there own ideas on these things because that makes us diverse and we are able to have uplifting conversations. Sometimes I feel that I am the “old” guy in the group but I love being around all of you and listening to conversations about the eternal. Thank you, All of you for being who you are and thanks for the great conversations!
